About Me
I am an English speaking psychologist currently working in private practice. I am originally from Northern Ireland and relocated to Luxembourg in 2000.
I offer support to adolescents, adults and couples to address problems related to anxiety, depression, stress, burnout and relationship issues - both personal and work related. Our world today is very demanding and this can often be more intense when away from friends and family or in a highly stressful environment.
Approach
Everyone chooses to enter therapy at a different point in one's life. Whether in a moment of crisis or loss, time of transition, feeling "stuck" or, wanting to further explore one's self. Regardless of your choice, I will use a relational approach to work together, using our therapeutic relationship to make positive change.
In a warm, safe, compassionate space, I will use a variety of techniques adapted your personality style, needs and goals. My approaches are primarily rooted in Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, understanding the connections between thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. I incorporate principles from empirically supported treatment techniques reflecting up-to-date research and also use Eastern techniques such as meditation, mindfulness, controlled breathing, and relaxation skills, to assist all clients.
I follow a multi-disciplinary approach providing support, resources, and practical tools to create a treatment program tailored to your individual situation.
